Located in Cap-Ferret, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the Auberge du Bassin is a recent creation of Mélanie Serre and her husband, Bertrand Guillou-Valentin, which opened on June 15. The chef, who has worked in top kitchens such as Joël Robuchon’s restaurant in Monaco, at the Atelier Étoile in Paris and at Louis Vins, has been recognized as one of the "109" personalities in Gault&Millau 2021 and awarded a trophy of the same name.
The couple offer an authentic culinary experience with varied slates featuring the best of local and seasonal produce. To complement your meal, you can choose from 600 wine references from Bertrand Guillou-Valentin’s personal collection, or enjoy cocktails at the bar. To extend this gourmet experience, a delicatessen stocks the chef’s finds, and a 24-hour oyster vending machine awaits seafood lovers.
