Apolline Henriot, the young widow of Nicolas Henriot, founded Maison Henriot in 1808 with the aim of illuminating her land by creating a great Champagne.
At the time of its foundation, the Henriot vineyard was located on 3 crus of the Montagne de Reims planted with Pinot Noir, before being joined by 3 crus planted with Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. Today, there are 29 crus in the vineyard, contributing to the diversity of terroirs so dear to the House.
For over 2 centuries, Maison Henriot has continued to pay tribute to Apolline Henriot by perpetuating her vision of vines and wine.
